Halesowen's branch of Boots will close on 1st August after being present in the town for decades.
The Peckingham Street store has been a prominent feature in the town's retail offering for over 30 years and sits next door to the former Woolworths which closed in 2008, and a unit which previously housed Yorkshire Bank.
All staff have been informed and will be offered jobs at other Boots stores. A spokesman for Boots UK said:
"It is never a decision we take lightly when looking to close a store. With this in mind, we can confirm that we are closing the Peckingham Street branch in Halesowen on Wednesday 1st August.
"We continually review our store locations to make sure they are where our customers need us most. All of our affected colleagues have been informed and will be offered jobs within Boots stores.”
The chain's branches in Blackheath, Dudley and Merry Hill will remain open.
