Never has the nation become more and more obsessed with prosecco.
Memories of drinking cava or asti are but a fleeting dream, and Brits are drinking a THIRD of the world’s stocks of our favourite fizzy wine.
Which is an opportune time for Asda to rear its beautiful head and say ‘hey, why just sell conventional 75 centilitre bottles when you can sell 1.5 litre ones?’
And thus, the supermarket has started selling magnums (huge bottles) of prosecco. Most importantly, for the low, low price of £14.
That’s around twelve glasses of prosecco. That’s £2.33 a glass.
The Fillipo Sansovino Prosecco Magnum is described on the site as an ‘extra dry’ and ‘deliciously soft and appley prosecco from Italy’ which is perfect for celebrations or with light fish and pasta dishes.
Though we think it’s perfect for any occasion. It’s been reduced from £15.98, too, so don’t dawdle before snapping up a bottle. Or twelve.
