Blazin Squad set to reform and go on tour

There has been talk for a while of a Blazin’ Squad reunion, but from the horse’s mouth – or the mouth of the band as Ollie’s been dubbed – we have had it confirmed that the lads are reuniting once Marcel has won left Love Island.

While some of the lads, including Marcel and best mate Ollie Georgiou, have been performing as Blazin’ Squad for a while now, the full 10 haven’t been together in years. But all that’s about to change. Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Ollie said:

"It will be the original line up, obviously there’s 10 of us. I’m not sure if all 10 of us will be doing it, but there will be a good chunk of doing it.

"It’s been a long while since a lot of us have been on stage and toured. Fingers crossed! We’ve had the offers from promoters so hopefully. If it can come together then all good."

He added there will be new music and a tour to follow. The lads are playing at Now That’s A Festival on August 12th, should you not be able to wait for the full reunion.

Surprisingly, they hadn’t been in talks for a reunion before Marcel’s stint in the villa, largely because they were already doing their thing. But after Marcel dropped the B-bomb a million times on TV (Blazin’ Squad, that is) they thought why the heck not?

The lads have been throwing their full support behind Marcel while he’s in the villa. Ollie added:

"Marcel is one of my closest mates in the group but yeah we’re all in touch and we knew he was going in and gave him words of wisdom. He was very excited and we didn’t realise how big it would be in terms of how popular. Everyone seems to be getting on board."
