He's been away from the spotlight for what seems like forever - but Sam Smith looks set to return with new music next week!
A banner advert of the singer and the date September 8 has appeared in London's Shoreditch today - and the image was quickly shared on social media with fans whipping themselves into a frenzy!
Smith is expected to release his new single, which will serve as the lead track from his forthcoming second album. His last release was 'Writing's On The Wall' back in 2015 - the theme song to the James Bond film Spectre that went on to become the first ever Number 1 Bond theme on the Official Singles Chart.
The singer's debut album In The Lonely Hour was released in 2014 and was a huge success around the world, logging eight weeks at Number 1 in the UK and even reaching the summit in America. That year it was the only album to sell one million on both sides of the Atlantic.
Sam has been teasing details of his second album over the past few weeks, sharing pictures from a recording studio including a shot with Timbaland, and rumours are rife of duets with artists including Clean Bandit, Adam Lambert and even another track with Naughty Boy.
