Police in Dudley took 17-year-old boy into custody yesterday morning after he was arrested on suspicion of assault when two people were slashed with a knife during a disorder in Stourbridge.
The offence took place in Church Street just before 2.30am yesterday morning. Fortunately the people who were attacked only sustained minor injuries and, despite the teen running off from officers, he was located, as was the knife. Chief Supt Sally Bourner said:
“We will not let up on our fight against knife crime. I’d like to thank the quick-thinking members of the public who thought to call police when they noticed someone standing with a knife and ultimately prevented someone else being injured.”
