The head of the Church of England has made a special visit to the borough as part of a tour of the Diocese of Worcester.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, made the historic visit to Dudley Council House on Friday, to meet with the Mayor of Dudley, councillor Mohammed Hanif, and members of the Dudley Interfaith Network.
The intimate reception was part of a three day tour of the diocese and was an opportunity for him to meet with members of the network who represent different faith and community groups. Councillor Hanif, Mayor of Dudley, said:
“I’m delighted that Archbishop Justin has been able to visit the Council House as part of his very busy tour of the diocese, and recognise the good work that goes on across the borough.”
