Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after another man was found dead at an address in Dudley.

Officers were called to Swancote Road by ambulance service colleagues at just before 2.30am.

A man in his 40s was found with injuries and sadly nothing could be done to save him.

Following enquiries a 36-year-old man was detained in Wednesbury a few hours later. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and is now in custody for questioning.

A cordon remains in place while officers carry out enquiries to establish exactly what happened. They are keen to speak to anybody who may have information to assist the investigation, especially anyone who may have dashcam or doorbell footage.
