Runners are urged to join a colourful celebration as the Beacon Centre for the Blind announces tickets are now on sale for its annual Family Fun Colour Run.
The event will take place on Sunday, May 11th at East Park in Wolverhampton. This year it holds special significance as the sight loss charity is marking its 150th anniversary, a century and a half of illuminating lives and supporting those with a visual impairment.
Participants of all ages and abilities are invited to join this 5K event, which promises a vibrant experience filled with 14 colour stations where runners, walkers, and joggers will be showered with brightly coloured powder.
Each participant will receive a newly designed Colour Run medal, and bundle tickets are also available, including a Colour Run T-shirt and coloured powder packs.
Sarah Dovey, Fundraising Manager at the Beacon Centre, said: "Our Family Fun Colour Run is one of our biggest and most colourful events of the year so we’re incredibly excited to hold it during our 150th anniversary.
"We are grateful for the support of our participants, whose generosity helps ensure that no one has to face sight loss alone.”
Special rewards will be given to participants who choose to fundraise for Beacon with those who raise over £250 receiving a limited edition pin badge, colourful running laces, trolley token, medal and a personalised running t-shirt to wear with pride!
Proceeds from the event will support Beacon's services helping people to live well with sight loss.
Tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £10 for children, with additional items such as sunglasses, powder packs, and brightly coloured sun visors available to buy.
