The UK's biggest TV talent show is heading for the Black Country to hold auditions to track down the best of the local music scene.
The producers of Britain’s Got Talent will be at Base Studios on Friday January 8th to scout for performers to go through to the preliminary rounds ahead of the next series of the hit show.
Although Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams will not be at the auditions, which will start at 5pm, programme makers Thames TV will be sending a film crew to record the acts.
Studio boss Warren Evans told the Dudley News: “It means a lot, they have come to us because of our standing in the Black Country music scene, they are specifically looking for music acts.
“It is great for the studio and great for Stourbridge – it is what we are here to do.”
Producers are holding more auditions in Birmingham on Friday and Saturday for entertainers from across the West Midlands and are taking the chance to check out performers at Base, which is currently planning production of it’s own reality TV show in collaboration with other major TV production companies.
Anyone who wants to take part in the auditions should email warren@basestudios1.co.uk
