Local singing sensation, Amy Lou Smith who recently gave birth to her daughter Aida has registered her little girl’s birth at Dudley Register Office.

Amy Lou, who is from Tipton had her daughter in the borough and so registered her birth at Dudley Register Office.

The 34 year old aspiring singer, wowed judges and fans of the ITV show when she performed Beyoncé's hit ‘Listen’ from the film Dreamgirls during her pre-recorded audition at 30 weeks pregnant. The episode aired just hours after she gave birth in mid April.

Amy Lou and her partner registered the birth on Friday 5 May.

Births can be registered in the borough at both Priory Hall and the Thomas Robinson Building. Parents have to register the birth of their baby within 42 days, in the registration district where their baby was born. Appointments can be made online.
