Staff and customers have had a lucky escape after a car crashed through the front window of a hair salon in Wordsley.

The vehicle ended up inside the building at Euphoria Hair on Lawnswood Road shortly before midday on Saturday.

Police say they believe the elderly woman driving the car, which had an automatic gearbox, may have put it into ‘drive’ instead of reverse by mistake.

Emergency crews, including paramedics, attended the scene but nobody was seriously hurt.
