Motorists have been reminded changes to charges on council-owned car parks across the borough start today.
Two hours of free parking will no longer be available, though parking will remain free from 7pm to 7am.
Charges will apply from 7am to 7pm, starting from £1.20 to £1.80 for an hour depending on the car park.
The move to reinstate charges was made following a vote by full council last month.
It is projected to raise more than £3.5 million over the next three years, as the local authority looks to raise nearly £40 million to improve the council’s financial situation.
