Concern grows for missing Halesowen teenager

Police are growing increasingly concerned for a teenager who went missing from her Halesowen school and failed to return home.

It's believed that Demi Anslow left her school on Richmond Street at around 2.30pm Thursday 11 February and failed to return to her home on Beecher Road, Cradley.

The 13-year-old was last seen wearing a blue parka type jacket and was carrying a Sports Direct drawstring bag.

DC Gareth Homer, from Brierley Hill police station, said: "This is totally out of character for Demi who has never been missing before. We believe that she has been quite active on social media and friends may have heard from Demi and do not realise that she has been reported missing.

"I would urge anyone who has seen her or who has been in contact with her recently to call us so we can make sure she is okay.

"I would also appeal to Demi to get in contact with us so we can make sure she is safe and well."

Anyone with information is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling the independent missing persons charity on 116 000.
