The leader of the council will again be in the hot seat when he takes questions from the public in a live video session this evening.
People will be able to put their questions to Councillor Patrick Harley in the latest Leader Live session - via the council’s Dudley borough Facebook page.
He will be joined by deputy leader of the council, Councillor David Vickers, and people will be able to put any questions to the pair – from investments in free parking and tackling weeds to the multi million pound Midland Metro and Very Light Rail developments.
Scores of people took part in the last live video session in March with a range of questions added to the text box on the Facebook page. Both senior politicians answer all questions in a live video which is then made available to view on the page permanently. Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said:
“We are pushing the envelope in how we listen to people and use that information to improve services for them. The leader live sessions are a very useful way for us to find out what is important to people and how we can help them to improve their communities.
“It’s very easy – people just need to add their questions to the Facebook page and I’ll do my best to answer them.”
The live session marks the latest round of community forums at venues across the borough. The 10 forums run from June 18 to 26 and all start at 6.30pm. For details of times and venues visit dudley.gov.uk/resident.
