A crime-hit beauty spot near Halesowen has been forced to close as a last measure resort due to on-going antisocial behaviour.
Bosses at conservation charity Woodland Trust said they’d made the decision to shut off Uffmoor Wood as a result of issues such as drug dealing, inappropriate sexual activity, violent dogs and dog fouling. Sheep have also been killed on neighbouring land.
The Trust say Uffmoor, between Hagley and Halesowen, has become one of their most problematic sites, resulting in complaints on a weekly basis.
The closure is temporary at this stage but this could become a permanent measure.
