A Darlaston based, family run restaurant, are celebrating the news a second franchise will open in Horsley Heath today.

Tenders Chicken and Dessert is a food outlet which sells a range of handcrafted dessert and speciality chicken meals with halal certification. 

The brand launched in February this year by a family who have a huge passion to help the community and offered employment to 15 people who were at risk or currently homeless. Rafiq Sadieq, founder of Tenders, said:

"We are proud to say that we hired 22 homeless people and as a family we trained them within the shop to provide them with experience and confidence to create transferable skills.

“A couple of our team now have gone on to work for larger companies like KFC, McDonald's and Burger King with thanks to Tenders being that step forward in the right direction to create the initial opportunity.

“We are really grateful that our previous team members will be coming back to support us at the launch.”

The second franchise plans to follow in the footsteps and offer further opportunities to the community. 

The brand also strives itself on giving 15% of it's annual profit to a selected charity.

The launch takes place at between 2pm and 5pm today, with free food for the community and children's activities throughout the afternoon and a visit from their favorite characters.
