Tourist attractions across Dudley borough are preparing for a boost in profile, thanks to the development of a new visitor economy website and promotional video.
Local attractions featured in the Discover Dudley video include Dudley Zoo and Castle, The Black Country Living Museum, Dudley Canal & Caverns, Red House Glass Cone and Himley Hall & Park.
Figures released in September this year showed that visitor numbers to Dudley were up for the second year in a row. With the borough’s visitor economy now worth £447million, it’s hoped the new video and website will help to attract even more visitors.
People can visit the new Discover Dudley website at discoverdudley.org.uk.
Councillor Paul Bradley, cabinet member for economic regeneration and enterprise, said: “The visitor economy is a huge market that we want to continue to tap into as it creates fantastic investment opportunities and jobs for our borough.
“I’m delighted to be launching our new promotional video today, which shines a light on the incredible and unique attractions that we have here.
“The new Discover Dudley website will also enhance the customer journey and experience, acting as a shop window for the borough's tourist attractions.”
