There’s now information and advice available for anyone worried about sexting on 'safe & sound', Dudley’s community safety partnership website.
The partnership website www.dudleysafeandsound.org/sexting pulls together a range of useful links for young people affected by sexting, providing helpful advice on what to do if they have sent, been sent or are asked to send an explicit text.
It also provides information for parents on supporting young people and for schools, colleges and youth settings to help them deal with issues quickly and effectively. Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for community safety, said:
“This is a really important subject and having a range of information in one place on the partnership website is incredibly valuable to young people, their parents and also those who work in schools, colleges or other youth settings.
“The website, dudleysafeandsound.org, is a helpful resource, as well as sexting, the website also has useful information on areas such as e-safety and bullying so it’s definitely worth a visit.”
