The borough’s intriguing past will be on show next week when Dudley’s Archives and Local History Centre throws open its doors for its Local History Day on the 1st October.
The one day free event takes place on Saturday and will feature a number of family and local history society exhibitions.
Visitors can find out about fascinating life stories, view amazing photographs, ask about ancestry research advice and take part in behind the scenes tours.
There will also be local history talks, family activities and quizzes, a raffle and a free prize draw.
Cllr Rachel Harris, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said:
“The Archives and Local History Centre has a wealth of documents relating to the borough which date back to the twelfth century - so why not join us at this year’s Local History Day and find out more about the borough’s intriguing past.”
The Local History Day takes place on Saturday 1 October from 10am to 4pm - admission is free. For more information contact the Archives and Local History Centre on 01384 812770 or visit www.dudley.gov.uk/archives
