Stage adaptations of two classic children’s stories are coming to Stourbridge over the Easter holidays.
The Jungle Book is on at Stourbridge Town Hall on Tuesday April 4 at 2pm. Immersion Theatre will perform a critically-acclaimed musical adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling classic, with original music, audience interaction and bags of comedy with Mowgli, Baloo and friends. It is recommended for children aged four and above.
The following week, on Thursday April 13, the Town Hall will host The Little Mermaid: An Underwater Musical Adventure! The show will feature singing and dancing as the classic tale featuring Ariel, Ursula and all the stars under the sea is brought to life on stage.
There will also be an opportunity for youngsters to meet the characters after the show. It is recommended for children aged five and above. Kelly Martin, venue manager for Stourbridge Town Hall, said:
"We know parents will be looking for things to keep their little ones occupied over the Easter school break.
"These two great family shows offer an escape from the real world for a couple of hours, a transportation for youngsters to magical worlds and the chance to see their favourite characters up close and personal.
"They always prove popular over Easter so I’d urge people to get in quick and snap their tickets up before they sell out."
Tickets for each show cost £10 for children and £12 for adults, with a family ticket for two adults and two children available for £40. To book, go to boroughhalls.co.uk or call the box office on 01384 812 812.
