People in need of advice and support to help stay safe and well in their homes are invited to attend a free event at the Merry Hill Centre later this month.
The event will take place in the lower mall near the customer service desk on October 18 from 9am to 3pm.
Members of the Dudley Council led, Living Well Feeling Safe Partnership will be on hand throughout the day. The team works to support vulnerable or older people to stay safe, healthy, well and independent in their homes.
During the event, they will talk to people about how to feel healthier, beat feelings of loneliness and make improvements around the home.
They can also direct people to support for dementia patients and unpaid carers and provide information about services including falls prevention and weight management.
Councillor Andrea Goddard, cabinet member for adult social care, said: "I’m really pleased we’re able to bring a community information event to the Merry Hill Centre once again.
"One of our aims in Dudley is to support the most vulnerable in society and in the past events like this have proved extremely positive, providing support for hundreds of people.
"Our advisors are experts in providing information and support to help people lead healthy and safe lives in their own homes. I encourage people to come along and pass this information on via their networks, so that we can reach out to even more people."
