Ghost Hunters Offered The Chance To Brave Birmingham's Most Haunted Building

Fearless members of the public are being given the opportunity to experience a behind the scenes tour at Birmingham’s New Alexandra Theatre as the venue hosts its first ever Ghost Tours.

Whilst you may be used to theatre's when the lights are on, music is playing and actors are treading the boards, the atmosphere changes dramatically after hours - did someone just walk past you or was it a trick of the light? Did a door just open or was it a creaky pipe? Is it just your imagination playing tricks?

Visitors who are brave enough to find out are invited to learn about the five ghosts who are said to haunt the New Alex, including that of Leon Salberg, the third owner of the theatre, who died in his office in 1937.

Tickets are already sold out for both 9pm tours on Friday 28th October and Saturday 29th October, but some still remain for 'BlackOut' – a special late night tour and lock-in, also on Saturday 29th October at 10.30pm for the truly fearless. The tour will take around one hour and is followed by a special Halloween cocktail in the Piano Bar and author and paranormal expert, Marq English, will also be on site to answer questions.

More details and your chance to buy tickets can be found on the New Alexandra Theatre website, or by ringing the Box Office on 0844 871 3011
