Celebrity chef, Gino D’Acampo, has revealed plans to open a new restaurant in Birmingham later this year.
The Italian favourite will open the eatery in Temple Row as part of a wider bid to launch a minimum of five new restaurants in the country this year.
The 8,000 sq ft, 200-seater site will be over two floors and will feature a Prosecco Bar, Deli and Ice Cream Bar, open kitchen and a leisure space including private bar, private dining, games room and so-called 'posh bowling'.
D’Acampo first made his move into restaurants when he teamed up with Steven Walker, founder of Manchester-based restaurant group Individual Restaurants. Mr Walker said:
"We are delighted with our partnership with Gino, as our business goes from strength to strength with turnover now approaching £100m across all brands."
