Halloween Fun In Netherton and Brierley Hill

Children who are looking to go batty can enjoy two free Halloween trails and win a prize for themselves and their families!

A spooky trail, that will be available from Netherton and Brierley Hill libraries, will lead families around the two town centres.

Youngsters who solve the clues can put their completed forms into a prize draw and one name will then be pulled out of the hat at each library. Both winners will get a family ticket for Himley Hall bonfire and fireworks worth £23 plus free parking.

Children searching for more seasonal activities can also enjoy scary stories and craft making at the libraries, which are the locations for the first clue of each trail. Netherton Library will host Halloween story telling at 11am and themed craft activities throughout the day on Friday 28 October whilst the Brierley Hill stories and craft activities will both take place at 1pm on Saturday 29 October.

Children are encouraged to get even further into the Halloween fang club and attend the library story-telling session in a spooky costume. Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member for planning and economic development, said:

“I hope that families make the most of this opportunity to spend time time in our town centres whilst enjoying the fun of Halloween.”

The bonfire family ticket prize admits up to two adults and two children up to the age of 15. Children under five receive free admission. For more information visit discoverdudley.org.uk.
