Representatives will be in attendance from a range of organisations such as Age UK, West Midlands Police, West Midlands Fire Service and Dudley home improvement service. Councillor Qadar Zada, cabinet lead for adult social care Dudley Council, said:
“The living well, feeling safe service is ideal for any older or vulnerable person or couple who are feeling isolated or in need of extra support at home, or for people who are simply concerned about safety or security in the home.
“I’d encourage Halesowen residents to take up the offer of a free home assessment, but it’s important to stress that this service is available to people across Dudley borough, so if you know anyone who could benefit then please contact the service directly.”
The service believes strongly in reaching people directly and operates several community ‘out and about’ events each year, covering different parts of Dudley borough.
The living well, feeling safe service offers free home assessments and advice to all older and vulnerable people, across Dudley borough. Home visits are available on request (no referral is needed) and the service can be contacted on 01384 817743.
