intu Merry Hill will be hosting their annual Christmas Light Switch on this Saturday from 4:30pm where a group of lucky shoppers will get the chance to play for prizes with television celebrities Sam and Mark.

The event is part of a jam-packed festive events calendar spanning six weeks of celebrations which starts this weekend with the installation of a giant snow globe.

Between November 17th and 18th, six lucky shoppers will enter a Crystal Maze-style snow globe to compete to win the most sought-after Christmas presents, including a family holiday to New York from Virgin Holidays, diamonds from TH Baker, a year’s supply of Nando’s and a £1,000 intu Gift Card.

This year’s switch-on marks the start of the shopping destination’s dazzling seasonal events calendar where shoppers will be surprised by a roaming Santa Claus and a festive parade featuring children’s favourite characters. Robert Pickersgill, marketing manager at intu Merry Hill, said:

The snow globe will also be open to all shoppers between 10:00am and 3:30pm on Saturday and 11:00am and 3:30pm on Sunday, where participants can play for the chance to win one of over 300 prizes from centre retailers including Regatta, Cath Kidston, Tessutti and River Island.
