Emergency services were called to Dixons Green Road shortly after 2am Saturday morning after a car collided with a tree.

The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was arrested before being taken to hospital.

The passenger of the car sadly died at the scene.

A second car, believed to have been involved in the events leading to the collision, was later stopped and two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

They remain in custody while enquiries continue, with officers remaining at the scene throughout this morning.

West Midlands Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area this morning and may have dashcam footage of what happened.
