A Dudley MP has congratulated local medics after it emerged the borough was on track to vaccinate all care home residents by the end of next week.

Marco Longhi MP visited Northway Medical Practice to review how the vaccination programme is being rollout and to provide confidence to local residents and feedback to Ministers. Mr Longhi said:

“It was a pleasure to meet Dr Steve Pritchard and all medical staff at the Northway Practice. First, I want to say a massive thank you to them for the vital role they are playing in protecting the lives of our loved ones.

“It was really encouraging to hear that 50% of residents in care homes have already received the vaccine in Dudley and we are hoping this to hit 100% next week.

“Visiting the practice really highlighted to me the effort required by so many different professions to work closely together to make sure vaccines are delivered safely to patients.

“I can’t praise everyone more highly for the dedication and care clearly visible to everyone.”
