Man charged with more than a dozen shop thefts in Lye

Jak Rock, aged 34 from Lye has been charged with 18 counts of theft from a shop and has been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court.

This comes after hundreds of pounds worth of items were stolen from a store on Belmont Road, Lye during March. 

The store has been repeatedly targeted, and on some occasions more than once in a day. 

Shop theft is blight on  communities and causes misery to business owners and customers. Theft can cause huge financial losses and affect livelihoods. West Midlands Police has said that this will not be tolerated.
