A motorist who died following a single car collision in Quinton early this morning has been named as 40 year-old Jagdeep Singh Pandher from Oldbury.
Officers were called to the A456 Quinton Expressway at around 2.40am following a report that a white Mercedes had left the carriageway and crashed. Mr Singh Bhandher aged 40 - known as Jagdeep Pandher - died at the scene. Paying tribute to their loved one, the family said Jagdeep was a loyal husband and 'wonderful father of four who will be missed greatly'.
PC Stuart Thorpe, from the force's Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Jagdeep was driving his white Mercedes in the direction of Birmingham at the time of the collision and we are particularly keen to hear from witnesses who may have seen the collision or the vehicle moments before.
"Specialist officers are supporting Jagdeep's family and our thoughts remain with them at this sad time."
