A man who supplied guns to drug dealers in a supermarket car park in Kingswinford has been jailed for 18 years.
26-year-old Sunny Dhatt, of Whittaker Street in Wolverhampton, arranged to hand over two 9mm semi-automatic handguns and a dozen bullets in August last year. But the exchange was being watched by undercover officers.
He also admitted possession of a loaded Smith and Wesson revolver that police found in a 60-year-old woman’s bedroom in Bilston.
Officers executed a warrant at the address on October 7 last year and found the .44 Russian handgun hidden in a wardrobe, beneath bed sheets and a Winnie the Pooh cuddly toy.
Police say Dhatt was a ‘go-to guy’ for illegal firearms and ammunition, and the conviction will have cut off a major supply line of weapons to dangerous criminals.
