Mayor Encourages You To Get Active And Raise Vital Funds

The Mayor of Dudley is inviting people to take part in his charity Winter Walk this month.

Anyone can join in the walk on Sunday 22 January, starting at 11am at the Bonded Warehouse in Stourbridge taking a seven mile round trip to the Prestwood area along the canal.

People can register by emailing or calling 07412 531924 to get a sponsorship form. Entry is just £1. Councillor Mohammed Hanif, Mayor of Dudley, said:

“After the Christmas festivities and over-indulgence lots of people start the new year with renewed enthusiasm to get fitter and slimmer.

“I hope that people will come on the sponsored walk to help kick start their fitness campaigns and meanwhile help raise money for three worthy charities.”

All profits from the walk will be donated to the Mayor of Dudley’s charities, which are Friends of Alfie Johnson, Dudley CIL and Diabetes UK Dudley branch.
