The Mayor of Dudley was one of more than 10,000 people who flocked to a circus in Dudley this week.
The borough’s first citizen gave his civic seal of approval to Gandeys Circus which is currently based on Flood Street car park in Dudley.
The Mayor was thrilled at the acts he saw on his visit and got to meet some of the performers back stage.Councillor David Stanley Mayor of Dudley said:
"It really was a fantastic day and the people I saw are so talented. I got to meet some of them back stage which was brilliant.
"I understand there are still tickets left and I urge people to find out for themselves what a fantastic day out in Dudley the circus is.”
Circus organisers have given away more than 400 tickets so far to local charities and organisations and raised an estimated £800 for the Birmingham Children's Hospital charity.
People can book tickets by calling 0871 705 5587 or online at gandeyscircus.com.
