Merry Hill has welcomed community-focused Nike Unite concept store, a local home court for visitors and the most valuable sport destination for the community.
The Nike Unite store opened on the Lower Mall yesterday. A regional debut for the global Nike Unite store concept and the first opening within a shopping centre it marks a major milestone for one of the UK’s top 10 retail destinations.
With unrivalled access to the best of Nike, Merry Hill visitors can choose from everyday essentials and fresh seasonal stock that has been locally curated at affordable prices – including athletic footwear, clothing, equipment, and accessories – for men, women, and kids.
The store is designed to reflect the heart and spirit of the community with design elements that honour local landmarks and athletes. Nike’s Community Ambassador program trains its store employees to be coaches, helping locals connect more closely with sport and each other, getting them geared up and moving.
Nike Unite Merry Hill is dedicated to serving and celebrating the local community through in-and-out-of-store experiences, including Nike’s Made to Play programme. This initiative will support nearby schools and non-profits in giving children the tools and opportunities to stay active, while inspiring and teaching a network of ‘Playmakers’ to help make a difference in the community.
The store offers a wide range of online and offline services such as click & collect, the ability to return digital orders in-store and even self-checkout. Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at Merry Hill said:
“Merry Hill is at the heart of the local community so it’s great to see a well-known brand like Nike making their regional debut with a community-focused store that truly reflects, takes inspiration from, and celebrates our visitors.
“The opening comes at an exciting time for the centre and our visitors as we kickstart our biggest and most ambitious Spring and Summer season, bringing together what makes Merry Hill special from our leading fashion, health, and beauty brands.”
