A man has suffered multiple serious injuries following a collision between a car and a motorbike in Wolverhampton.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Coleman Street in the city at 6.55pm on Thursday and sent one ambulance, a senior paramedic, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor to the scene. A spokesman for West Ambulance Service said:
“Crews arrived to find one patient, the motorcyclist, who had fallen from his bike in the collision with the car and come to rest underneath a van. The motorcyclist was quickly freed from underneath the van so ambulance staff could fully assess him.
“He had suffered multiple serious injuries in the collision and received specialist trauma care at the scene. He was then transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, on blue lights and sirens to receive further treatment."
There were no other patients from the incident.
