Kingswinford and South Staffordshire MP Mike Wood has announced an overall winner and eight lucky runners up to his tenth annual Christmas card competition.
As well as having their artwork displayed on the MP’s Christmas card, each of the nine winners has received a gift card from Merry Hill along with a further prize from a local attraction.
Isla Gaunt from Year 5 at Codsall Middle School took the top spot and will see her nativity scene design taking pride of place on the front of Mr Wood’s card which will now be sent to The King, charity leaders, local businesses, Mayors, other MPs, councillors and local figures.
Mr Wood said: “This is the tenth annual Christmas card I have organised, but the first in the new constituency boundaries.
“Once again, I have been blown away by the artistic talent shown by our youngsters right across Kingswinford & South Staffordshire, and it was as difficult as ever to decide the overall winner and runners up.
“All nine designs now feature on my 2024 Christmas card, and I would like to give a big thank you to Merry Hill and all other prize sponsors for helping to celebrate the talent of our young artists.”
Other prizes were donated by the Black Country Living Museum, Cadbury World, Dudley Zoo, West Midlands Safari Park, Kingswood Trust, Boscobel House, Wild Zoological Park, West Bromwich Albion Football Club and Red House Glass Cone.
