A much anticipated branch of ALDI is set to open in Dudley next week.
The new branch of the German discount chain is set to open on the site of the former King Arthur pub on Thursday 20th October.
As well as providing nearby residents with a new supermarket, the store is set to employ over 30 new members of staff after local MP, Ian Austin, organised a recruitment fair last year.
Mr Austin consulted with local residents over Aldi’s plans, finding that eight in 10 were in support of the venture which saw the King Arthur pub demolished almost 12 months ago.
The first 100 shoppers arriving for the 8am opening will receive a golden envelope with a randomly chosen prize inside, ranging from televisions to DAB radios.
