MyDudley, Dudley Council’s new, easy to use online platform signed up a massive 10,000 new accounts in its first week.
The system allows users to do things like report a missed bin collection, report a pothole, book an appointment at the recycling centre and order copies of certificates for births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships. By creating an account on MyDudley, residents are also able to get updates on the progress of their request.
New services are coming online all the time, and the latest enhancement allows account holders to securely view and pay council tax and set up a direct debit all in one place.
MyDudley has also received hundreds of five-star reviews from residents and visitors who love its simplicity and user-friendly approach. People can make reports or raise requests 24/7 and don’t have to wait for office hours to get their report logged. Councillor Phil Atkins, cabinet member for corporate strategy, said:
“This is a phenomenal result! We launched at the end of November and we already have over 10,000 accounts created. People like MyDudley because it’s so simple to use and allows them to access a host of council services in one place and importantly be kept up to date with the progress of their request or query.
“It’s really quick and easy to set up a MyDudley account, we just need your name, email and postcode. If you haven’t already, it’s worth signing up now.”
