Passengers preparing for the annual rise in public transport costs may be in for a pleasant surprise in 2018.
Many charges on National Express West Midlands fleet of buses across the West Midlands have been frozen, with new value fares being added to the tariff as well.
Highlights of the new year price plan include single fare and Daysaver prices remaining at £4.60 and a new £1 fare for those with an older person's bus pass who wish to travel before 9:30am.
Whilst some travel cards have succumbed to a price hike, travellers can beat the rise by purchasing through the companies dedicated ticketing app or through the Swift Card scheme.
Other new additions include ten pack single and day ticket bundles and subscription based 1 and 4 week passes. For more information, you can visit the National Express website.
