A free PR platform that gives Birmingham-based small businesses and charities the chance for free publicity in the local, trade, national and even international media has officially been launched.
'Newspage' has evolved out of The Great British Bounce Back, which was launched by PR agency, Rhizome Media Group, during the first national lockdown to help small businesses and charities that would never be able to afford a traditional PR agency have their voices heard and stories told.
Newspage enables Birmingham-based businesses to create their own publicly visible and fully branded media centres (something many of them don’t have) in a matter of minutes. They can add as many contactable ‘experts’ as they wish, create tags for their areas of expertise and add any content that could be of use to the media.
They then receive alerts through an app to breaking or upcoming news stories that they could contribute to and are also able to add news stories of their own. The Newspage team will promote stories it believes will be of interest to the media for free. Robert Kincaid, owner of the Birmingham-based office catering firm, Trenchers, said:
“I would recommend Newspage to all small businesses and charities in Birmingham looking to raise their profiles in the media, all the more so during these challenging times.
"In recent months, they’ve secured my office catering firm a number of pieces of free media exposure, most recently in the Daily Mail where I was able to give my views on the March Budget. If you’re a small business or charity who would never use a traditional PR agency because they’re way too expensive, Newspage is perfect.”
