Blue Cross in Catshill, Bromsgrove, is calling out for volunteers to foster homeless cats and kittens and also to help with fundraising activities.
The centre is having a drop-in open evening on Thursday 6 October, split into two sections. Anyone interested in foster caring is asked to arrive from 4:30pm until 6:00pm and potential fundraisers should visit from 6:00pm until 7:30pm, for a chat about how local animal lovers can help.
The Blue Cross team will be available to chat about opportunities for volunteers who have some time to spare and space in their home to care for cats. Visitors can also meet other volunteers and find out how they find the experience, practicalities for cat foster caring and how their input is vital in supporting the work of the charity.
There will also be further drop-in's for fundraising volunteers, between 10:30am and 12:30pm on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November and for anyone interested in finding out more about cat and kitten foster caring, between 11:00am and 2:00pm on Saturday 12 November.
The drop-in sessions will be at the Blue Cross Rehoming Centre on Wildmoor Lane, Catshill (B61 0RJ).
2022 is the 125th anniversary of Blue Cross, originally ‘Our Dumb Friends League’. The charity formed to help vulnerable pets and their owners and we continue this work today across our rehoming, clinical, animal behaviour, pet bereavement support and educational work.
Blue Cross relies on the support and donations of pet lovers to continue their vital work, to find out more, and make a donation visit bluecross.org.uk.
