A local retailer is appealing for support to help reinstate a postbox in Colley Gate.
The team at Nisa on Colley Gate have launched a petition to gain support for a postbox to be returned to the lower area of the village.
Currently, the only facilities in the area are either hidden away on local housing estates or at the top of a steep hill making them inaccessible for many local residents.
A spokesperson for the store posted on social media, and said: "There was once a postbox in the lower Colley Gate area, however now there is only one at the top meaning anyone who wants to use it has to travel up a steep hill.
"This may not seem to be much of a burden to most, but it makes it extremely difficult for the elderly and vulnerable members of our community to access it.
"That's why we have created a petition to reinstate the lower post box. Any signatures would be greatly appreciated."
