Police have uncovered a huge cannabis factory in Tipton and rescued two men from the unit who are suspected to be victims of forced labour.
Officers executed a warrant at a unit in Fisher Street at 10am yesterday morning and seized around 400 cannabis plants at various stages of maturity.
The plants have a potential street-value yield of hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Two Albanian men aged 22 and 23 were found in the unit and are now being safeguarded – it’s suspected they may be modern slavery victims and enquiries are underway.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 giving log number 362 of 26th January.
