Prepare to go on a QUEST at Stourbridge Town Hall

A unique new family-friendly live music and dance show, featuring everything from morris to martial arts, is coming to Stourbridge.

QUEST, featuring the award-winning folk group The Demon Barbers, is at Stourbridge Town Hall on Saturday September 1st - tickets are on sale now.

It has been put together by Breaking Tradition, regarded as the UK’s leading folk and hip hop dance company, and is said to be suitable for families, gamers and live music and dance lovers of all ages.

Written by award-winning writer and actor Stacey Sampson, QUEST fuses Morris, clog and sword dance with popping, locking, breaking and martial arts to the beat of new songs and traditional melodies with an electronic edge.

It all brings to life the story of Kai’s search for his missing sister, which draws him in to the extraordinary computer game; Forever Quest. Damien Barber, artistic director of Breaking Tradition and front man of The Demon Barbers said:

“We’re all excited to have produced a new dance show specifically aimed at a younger generation which incorporates traditional folk customs into the digital world.

“We have been delighted by the fantastic reaction it’s been receiving so far around the country, and look forward to bringing it to Stourbridge in September.”

The show, which lasts for around an hour-and-a-half, starts at 2.30pm on September 1st. Tickets cost £15 for adults and £10 for children, or £10 for Adult Options+ and £8 for Children Options+. Booking fees apply.

To book, log on to boroughhalls.co.uk or call the box office on (01384) 812812. Breaking Tradition is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
