Police are hunting a man who attacked a 73-year-old security guard at a Brierley Hill factory, and left him lying seriously injured for hours.

The guard was assaulted and hit around the head after he challenged a man found inside Stoke Forgings in Vine Street at around 1pm on Sunday.

He was discovered some hours later by a colleague and taken to hospital in a critical condition. The factory was sealed off while forensic enquiries took place.
