The skies above Birmingham's Edgbaston Stadium will light up as a spectacular drone show recreates the story of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz this weekend.

Birmingham will be the first UK city to experience this enchanting new show before continuing its tour across the country which includes stadiums in Nottingham, Cardiff and the North East.



The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: The Drone Light Show, is the next show created by Celestial, creators of drone light shows for brands across the globe, in collaboration with the local experiences company, Yuup.

Steve Winter, Celestial’s Creative Director said: “We’re bringing this timeless classic to life on an epic scale, with all the beloved characters—Dorothy, Toto, the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow and the Lion—just as you remember them.

"But this time, the story unfolds in the sky above. Set to a breathtaking original musical score and staged in stunning outdoor stadiums, our production delivers a spectacular, unforgettable experience for all generations.

"This is Oz as you’ve never seen it before, and we can’t wait to share it with you".

The event takes place on Saturday 1st March at Edgbaston Stadium. Gates will open at 5pm, with the show starting at 7pm.
