The museum has been recognised alongside prestigious institutions such as The Natural History Museum and the National Trust for its innovative and eco-conscious efforts.
This nomination highlights the museum’s commitment to sustainability through its Greener Glass Exhibition, a groundbreaking showcase of environmentally sustainable glass art.
Due to overwhelming popularity, the exhibition will now run until 27 July 2025, giving visitors even more time to explore this inspiring display of sustainable artistry.

The exhibition also features work made by primary school children- to show the quality of the work that can be produced by young artists. otably, the works on display by the museum’s resident artists from Allister Malcolm Glass Ltd are created using 100% renewable energy at its new electric furnace and studio, exemplifying the potential of sustainable artistic practice.
