Ms Webb has praised all schools in her constituency for their ongoing Covid-19 response after she visited Colley Lane Primary Academy in Halesowen.
She met with headteacher, Helen Hale, at the 621-pupil school in Colley Lane and she was shown around while keeping to social distancing rules.
Colley Lane was rated good by Ofsted earlier this year and has done a great deal to ensure pupils can attend lessons and be kept safe during the pandemic. Suzanne said:
“It was a real privilege to meet with Helen, pupils and her staff and be shown first-hand the tremendous work the school has done to adapt to the virus and make sure children are in their lessons learning - just as they should be.
“I would also like to thank every school in my constituency for all they are doing during these difficult times. Everyone rightly praises teachers, but all our schools need the dedication of staff like playground supervisors, those in the canteen, teaching assistants and special needs assistants to function.
“All who have worked through the first lockdown will now continue their amazing work for this second lockdown while making their own sacrifices to keep our children safe and educated.”
