A week of activities – including climbing, archery and basketball – are being put on at an outdoor centre for youngsters over the school summer holidays.
The Dudley Council-run summer fun days at Astley Burf Outdoor Adventure Centre in Stourport will run from Monday July 31 to Thursday August 3.
It is suitable for primary school children – aged from five to 11 – and activities will be tailored to suit age ranges. They will include a climbing wall, archery, kiting, basketball, mountain biking, arts and crafts sessions and cupcake decorating. All activities are organised and supervised by qualified Dudley borough schools approved staff.
It costs £30 per child per day, or £100 per child for all four days. The price includes all activities, lunch, drinks and snacks plus return coach transport from Saltwells Education Development Centre in Netherton to Astley Burf every day. There is a £10 non-refundable deposit per child, per day to secure a place.
Astley Burf is the schools activities centre for Dudley borough and has played host to thousands of youngsters from the town over the years for residential and activity sessions.
