Teenager charged with attempted murder after Oldbury stabbing

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in Oldbury.

West Midlands Police were called to Brunel Road in the early hours of Saturday morning after a 14-year-old boy was found with a serious knife wound. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A boy, aged 15 from Sandwell, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday morning.

There will be extra officers in the coming days to offer reassurance to the public.
